Saskatoons are cultivated as shrub forms or as tree forms, there are a lot of different species and varieties. Amelanchiers have a lot to offer when it comes down to gardens, even the smaller gardens. The plant has beautiful blossoms in spring, lovely and healthy leaves that are barely vulnerable to disease, fruits in the autumn that are well loved by the birds and not to forget, magnificent autumn colours! Another advantage is that Amelanchier has no specific preferences regarding soil types.
